President , Yves Jeuland
This is the documentary made freely during the last election of Georges Freche. A rather refreshing dive into a politically incorrect which is the hypocrisy of politically correct bondieuseries one now hears all the time.
The emotional anonymous , Jean-Pierre Ameris
Jean-Rene and Angela are two major emotional. Even using chocolate, their shared passion as a metaphor, they are struggling to realize their love story. This funny and moving little film is a kind of romantic comedy that owes much to craft a pair of amazing actors (Isabelle Carre and Benoit Poelvoorde completely against type ...)
A balcony overlooking the sea , Nicole
Marc Garcia, a married father, Cathy found the love of his ... twelve years, known during the war in his native Algeria. The past always painful to wake up and assailed by doubts about him: Is Cathy Cathy? The scenario is a bit of white thread sewn, the nostalgia of "there" a bit grotesque, but Marie-Josee Croze manages to give life to his character and Oran desert is very photogenic.
Potiche , François Ozon
Any film to prove that Catherine Deneuve can play everything, including Jacqueline Maillan. She obviously succeeded his bet, but the company appears to be fairly fruitless in the end. As feminism supposed to inspire the film, it must date from the time of the Flintstones.
In total, therefore twenty-seven films I've seen in theaters this year. A tiny years (thirty-nine in 2009). Suddenly, the top 10 is only indicative:
1. Certified copy (Abbas Kiarostami)
2. Another year (Mike Leigh)
3. Men and Gods (Xavier Beauvois)
4. Biutiful (Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu)
5. Tamara Drewe (Stephen Frears)
6. Tour (Mathieu Amalric)
7. You Will Meet a tall dark stranger (Woody Allen)
8. President (Yves Jeuland)
9. La nostra vita (Daniel Lucchetti)
10. Rizhao Chongqing (Wang Xiaoshuai)
